Love is the letter A, Paola Calvetti

Presentation Editor:
romantic Milanese, Emma decides to radically change their lives by opening a local bookstore called Dreams & Spells. The charm and originality of his shop are its specialty books devoted to love. Emma, who seems resigned to celibacy since his divorce, didn't like him to find work to help a lost customer on the map of Tendre. This is obviously through a book that Emma will find Federico's love of youth. While they have not seen for thirty years, it is as if they had never left. Federico except that now lives in New York, where he is an architect, married and father of a teenager. Still, Federico and Emma began a letter-writing relationship, after opening a mail box each of which they are known only to the existence ... In this novel, unconventional, Paola Calvetti makes a heartfelt tribute to the power of words and literature. Read to dream, eyes open to all possibilities of love.

My opinion:
Despite a small startup a bit long, I was under the spell of this story that takes place in Milan, in a small bookstore called Dreams & Spells.

Narrator, Emma, approaching fifty, we tell the story. This dream / crazy bet she had to want to hold a bookstore specializing in romance. It tells its loyal customers become friends, talks about Alice, his young assistant who wants to develop the store with the new technology.
Is that Emma is a little angry with the computer and prefers to manage her shop in the former.
But it's also a love story that takes its way after 25 years they have not seen ... and found a way that seemed original. There is
Federico, an architect in New York. Childhood sweetheart Emma. Even if married, this does not prevent them from exchanging correspondence in the old way. "

What I liked about this novel is the writing of the author.
Then I attached the character Emma, sentimentalist, dreamer. And during much of this reading, I have not stopped note of any securities read this novel about love of all kinds, talking of a library with this theme, we refer to the references with little word above interpreted by one of these characters.

The last fifty pages were a bit difficult to overcome.

My only regret? When I close the book and say goodbye to the bookstore & Wish Spells shame that such a store does not exist.
